Hey Everyone! I have been wanting to try more Smashbox products since I love the lipsticks so much, so I decided to pick up one of their “sets”. The one I got is the Smashbox Pop of Pink, which includes the following: Blush in Pop of Pink: a slightly reddened carnation pink with berry undertones. It has slight shimmer and a satin/matte finish.
Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink: a nude carnation pink with a glossy finish. Reflection High Shine Lip Gloss in Pop of Pink: a sheer bubblegum pink with a slight cotton candy scent. Full Exposure Mascara: a jet black volumizing and lengthening mascara with a large bristle brush. Medium/dry consistency. Overall all of the products are fantastic. My only complaint is that I much prefer the discontinued Photo Finish Lipstick formula to the Be Legendary formula.
The Photo Finish lipstick formula glided over any dry patches and made your lips look flawless, whereas the Be Legendary formula clings a bit more to dryness on lips. You can get this set at Ulta for $39: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5230007#details. Hey Everyone! A few days ago I came across the Summer 2013 Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoos and had to pick up a few!
'Drugstore Dupe for MAC Bare Study Paint Pot. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded-Lovely Dalliances i personally have this exact stuff, same shade and it works AMAZING, stays all day and night and blends perfect-pinner' 'Lovely Dalliances: Drugstore Dupe for MAC Bare Study Paint Pot. Jun 21, 2018- NYX High Voltage 'Feline' is a dupe for MAC Sin. NYX High Voltage 'Feline' is a dupe for MAC Sin.
There are eight colors in this collection and they are inspired by the sea. They are all shimmery/frosty and have varying levels of duo-chrome. The store I went to only had four colors left in stock, so if I come across the other four, I will do an additional post featuring those. Here are the ones I was able to pick up: Blue Paradise: a cool denim blue with purple duo-chrome Cool Crush: an icy light blue with slight pink and silver duo-chrome Precious Pearl: a yellow cream with pink duo-chrome (very similar to MAC’s Motif eyeshadow) Waves of White: an icy white with blue, green, and slight pink duo-chrome You can get these at the drugstore for about $6.00 each.Sarah’s Tips. These particular Color Tattoos are a bit more creamy than other ones I have tried, so I recommend using a primer underneath to prevent creasing. Hey Everyone!
So I know I have been raving about the Sigma Resort Palette ever since I got it at IMATS LA earlier this year, but I thought it might be helpful to do a post about possible options for dupes of the shades in this palette. If you are just interested in getting the palette itself, you can get it for a limited time at: The Resort Palette costs $42.00 plus shipping, but you can all the dupes for it for only about $30.00! All together it’s not a HUGE difference in price, but if you are just interested in a few of the shades, it’s a good deal.the Sigma Resort Palette Shade will be first, followed by the corresponding dupe. Lets start with the eyeshadows! Hey Everyone! Today I want to talk about the ongoing battle I had trying to find the “perfect” concealer. Up until finding my holy grail concealer, I had been using the MAC Studio Finish Concealer to cover blemishes and scarring, and the MAC Select MoistureCover Concealer as my under-eye concealer and also to cover any redness.
While these are great concealers, I still found that they weren’t doing their job as well as I would have liked. The Studio Finish Concealer covered the blemishes well, but if I had to use it on an area that I had enlarged pores, such as my cheeks, it made both the blemish and the pores stand out. I also found that it “slid” off my skin easily even after being set with powder, and needed frequent touch ups. I also had to be careful not to touch up too frequently or use too much because this concealer was easily made to look cakey and dry. The Select MoistureCover concealed redness very well, but creased and settled into my fine lines terribly.
And if I added more to touch up under my eyes, it got patchy and dry; even though the word “moisture” is in its name! Other than that, I really like how light it feels on the skin and how natural it looks. That being said, I found myself starting to use my current favorite foundation, Revlon ColorStay, as a concealer by using it under and around my eyes, and by doubling up on it on blemishes. By doing this I had no problems with creasing under my eyes, blemishes being uncovered, or prominent enlarged pores. Then one day when I was browsing the drugstore makeup aisle, I came across the matching Revlon ColorStay Concealer! Needless to say I started using that instead of doubling up on the foundation and from then on it has been my go-to holy grail concealer. Here are the main things I like about it:.
NO Creasing Under Eyes. NO Settling into Fine Lines or Pores.
All Day and Night Super Staying-Power. Natural Finish.
True Full Coverage. Neutral Colors (not overly warm or cool toned). Light Feeling Consistency. Easy to Use Doe-Foot Applicator. You can get this for $5.99 at Ulta.
Hey Everyone! As you know I have very fair skin, think nc10, maybelline fit me 110, nars siberia, so I have come up with a list of blushes that look especially great on skin tones like mine. I essentially have two favorite types of blush colors that I feel compliment my skin the best.
One being tanned nude colors that I apply in the contour, bronzer, and blush areas of my face; the other being extremely bright colors that I sheer out and apply to the apples of my cheeks. Tan nude colors bring color and dimension to fair skin, whereas normally there isn’t much of either; and bright colors, such as a hot pink, bring life to an otherwise bland complexion. People with a dark, tanned, or olive skin tone tend to have natural dimension to the skin, and don’t need to enhance cheekbones, natural flush, or their “sunkissed glow” quite as much as people like us do (especially since most of us fair skinned people can’t get “sun kissed” without a sun burn). That being said, I still feel that fair skinned people have a different kind of advantage in that we can choose what to highlight, contour, etc. And use any colors we want since we have such a “blank canvas”. Also, I feel that highlighter look especially fantastic, glowy, and natural on us. Enough rambling. While fair skinned people can pull off any cheek color with ease, here are the colors I feel look most natural and suite us best: (PICTURES AND SWATCHES BELOW) Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Light Rose – a light tan nude with rose undertone.
